The theatrical return of Ram Charan to the big screens is earmarked with Peddi on June 4 and the film has started on a decent note at the box office.
As we had reported earlier in the day today, the film had collected in the vicinity of ₹135 crore gross on the opening day at the globe box office. This is the number that is in circulation from the production house.
When it comes to the advance bookings from second day, things are progressing on a moderate note in terms of BookMyShow bookings.
As of the moment that we are typing this, Peddi is selling around 16,000 tickets per hour on BookMyShow. This is according to the hourly trends that are displayed on the online ticketing application.
It can perhaps be categorised that this is not a brilliant number and at the same time, it is not a bad number either. A bit more positive reaction on the opening day and favourable reviews would have catapulted this further.
The problem is that Charan is having to do all the heavy, lifting by himself with very little contribution from the rest. But nevertheless, he is doing a fine job at it with his strong pull.
At the United States box office, the advances for the second day are at around $153,000 and this needs some saving act on priority. Only time will tell if the last minute walk ins will be able to relinquish this poor advances trend.
