Peddi: Is Ram Charan Lying or Misinformed?

Ram Charan Peddi release date confusion

Ram Charan’s much awaited film Peddi, directed by Buchi Babu Sana, continues to generate massive buzz. With a unique mix of cricket, wrestling, and a rural backdrop, the film has already caught attention through its songs and glimpses, raising heavy expectations among fans.

After many delays, the makers had finally locked April 30 as the release date. However, recent reports suggested that the shoot was still incomplete, leading to strong speculation that the film might get postponed to June or July. These rumors created concern among fans and trade circles alike.

Amid this confusion, Ram Charan himself stepped in to clarify the situation.

During the promotions of Rakasa, produced by Niharika Konidela, the team met Ram Charan. In a lighthearted interaction, Charan addressed the ongoing speculation and said that Peddi is not getting delayed. He even urged the team to promote this point in their film promotions, as he has been hearing unnecessary rumors about Peddi getting postponed.

However, this is where things get interesting.

Strong reports from within the trade suggest that distributors, both domestic and overseas, have already been informed about a delay. This has now led to a serious question doing the rounds.

Is Ram Charan unaware of the actual situation, or is he deliberately downplaying the postponement?

This contradiction between ground level reports and Ram Charan’s statement has created confusion across the industry. While fans are choosing to trust Ram Charan’s words that the film is coming on Aril 30, industry circles remain cautious.

At this point, only one thing can settle the debate, an official confirmation about postponement or the opening of advance bookings. Until then, Peddi remains in a state of suspense, officially on schedule but surrounded by speculations.
