Ideally, when a big hero film is releasing in a couple of days, the entire Telugu space on social media is locked in on the same. There will be humongous debates on the box office aspect and subsequent gains.
But in the case of Ram Charan’s Peddi, the social media vacuum is simply not too prevalent. The fundamental level, it is the IPL, which gained all the attention and anticipation till May 31. All the discussions were occupied regarding the same.
And just when the window cleared for the arrival of Peddi, the ongoing Pawan Kalyan versus Telangana government has scrapped the attention.
The decision taken by the Telangana police to deny permission for Pawan Kalyan’s meeting here in Hyderabad has gained a lot of public attention. On top of that, the deputy CM has communicated that he would be attending a press conference later in the evening.
There is simply far too much happening in the Telugu social media circles with regard to the recently concluded IPL and recently initiated Pawan Kalyan chapter. All the discussions are revolving around these topics.
Else, there could have been significant social media momentum for Ram Charan’s Peddi if this was the only happening and burning topic.
But nevertheless, this is numbers game and all that matters is for Buchi Babu and Charan to deliver a winning theatrical experience and the rest will take care of itself.
