Prabhas Fans Dreamt SRK Got Salman? Vanga’s Tag Backfired

Prabhas box office setback

Prabhas’ recent release The Raja Saab failed to make a strong impact at the box office. After an average first weekend, the film saw a sharp drop on its first Monday. The poor hold raised concerns among fans and trade observers.

Many viewers criticised the makers and the director for presenting a confused narrative. The plot was widely seen as weak and inconsistent. Several felt Prabhas was poorly showcased, which further reduced the film’s appeal among audiences.

With Radhe Shyam, Adipurush, and now The Raja Saab, questions are being raised about Prabhas’ current box office pull. A section of moviegoers has expressed disappointment and claimed they are skipping his films due to repetitive and dull content.

Some observers have drawn parallels between Prabhas’ career phase and Salman Khan’s trajectory. Salman Khan delivered consistent hits in the early 2010s but later faced setbacks after choosing weak scripts that failed to impress audiences.

Films like Race 3, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, and Dabangg 3 managed decent openings but collapsed after the first weekend. This pattern is now being compared to Prabhas’ recent releases, which have struggled to sustain momentum.

Earlier, director Sandeep Reddy Vanga had hailed Prabhas as the biggest superstar, with comparisons to Shah Rukh Khan gaining traction. After The Raja Saab’s outcome, comparisons have shifted toward Salman Khan’s post-peak phase.

Many believe Prabhas needs to reassess script choices and rebuild consistency. Stardom alone may no longer guarantee box office success. Strong content and careful selection are now seen as essential to regain audience trust.

Despite setbacks, Prabhas has several major projects lined up, including Spirit, Salaar 2, Kalki 2, and Fauzi. The performance of these films will determine whether he can return to delivering back to back box office hits.
