Prabhas’ fans are going through a confusing phase right now. Rumors, half-baked leaks, and unclear communication from official teams have created a situation where nobody really knows what is happening with his upcoming films. Several projects are moving in different directions. There is still no proper clarity from any side.
The Raja Saab is slated for release on January 9, 2026, but there are still no song updates. Fans have been waiting for weeks. The silence is making them restless.
Hanu Raghavapudi’s Fauzi’s shoot may wrap up in the next 2 months. The team is aiming for an August 15, 2026, release. Meanwhile, Spirit with Sandeep Reddy Vanga is still in pre-production and is expected to start shooting by the end of this month. Prabhas will join only from January 2026.
There is also talk that Kalki 2 could begin by mid 2026 but looks difficult. At the same time, reports suggest Prashanth Neel will shift to Salaar 2 after completing Jr NTR’s film. There is also no clarity about whether Prabhas’ film with Prasanth Varma is shelved or not.
In such a confusing scenario, now another shocker is making rounds. It is about a possible film with Prem Rakshith.
Many in the industry are surprised by how quickly Prabhas is approving new projects. Most pan India stars plan one massive film over two or three years. They take their time before signing anything new. Prabhas, however, is saying yes at lightning speed. This is why the lineup feels scattered and hard to follow.
The latest buzz is that choreographer Prem Rakshith narrated a story to Prabhas during a break on The Raja Saab sets. Prabhas immediately liked it. If this project happens, it will be the biggest breakthrough of Prem Rakshith’s career. After Naatu Naatu put him on the global stage, turning director with a superstar like Prabhas would be a dream step.
There is no official confirmation yet. Reliable sources say the project is almost locked. Prabhas already has three commitments with Hombale Films. Salaar 2 is one of them. The other two are yet to be announced. There is a chance that one of those could be the Prem Rakshith film. Even if not, any major producer would be ready to back a Prabhas project.
Choreographers turning directors is not new. Lawrence, Prabhu Deva, and Amma Rajasekhar all delivered a few hits initially. If Prem Rakshith joins that list, it would not be surprising. But fans are worried. At this crucial stage, working with a first-time director comes with risks. Prabhas, however, seems calm and confident about his choices.
Going by the current situation, Prabhas will be occupied with Spirit and Fauzi after The Raja Saab. Fauzi may be released around August 15. Kalki 2 and Salaar 2 are also waiting. No other Telugu star has such a long and overlapping slate. The issue is not the number of films. The issue is the lack of clarity.
Compared to other stars who clearly announce their schedules, Prabhas’ lineup looks rushed and confusing. Until official teams communicate clearly, fans will continue to feel lost. They will be unsure which film is coming next and what the actual timeline looks like.
