It is common for the fans of star Telugu heroes to celebrate the release of their favorite heroes’ films in a festival-like manner. But sadly, these celebratory events are often associated with distressing incidents, and here is one such instance.
In an unfortunate turn of events, Challa Koteswara Rao, an ardent fan of Prabhas from Karampudi, Karnataka died on the spot as he was electrocuted while erecting a banner at a cinema hall ahead of Radhe Shyam’s release.
After coming to know about his fan’s passing away, Prabhas reportedly donated Rs 2 lakh to the wife of the deceased, Picchamma. Prabhas is also said to have assured all possible support to the family, which is reeling under extreme poverty.
This isn’t the first time we are hearing something like this. Unfortunate incidents like these happen almost every time a big hero’s film releases. Star heroes do urge their fans to refrain from potentially fatal activities, but it is of very little effect.
