The Raja Saab Ghaati Clash on Dusshera

This summer turned out surprisingly dull for movie lovers. Not a single star hero managed to release a film. Several big movies were delayed for different reasons.

Some completed shooting but got stuck in post-production. Others faced hurdles during filming or due to unavoidable circumstances. As a result, the expected summer rush of big releases did not happen.

With June and July also looking dry for major releases, many filmmakers are now aiming for the Dussehra season. Prabhas’ much-awaited pan-India film Raja Saab, originally planned for April, is reportedly targeting a Dussehra release. However, nothing can be said with certainty when it comes to Raja Saab.

Other films are following the same trend. Anushka Shetty’s Ghaati has wrapped up shooting but is delayed by post-production work. It is now expected to be released during the festive season.

Initially, Raja Saab and Ghaati were set for April 10 and April 18 respectively. It would have been a partial clash. But now, a direct Dussehra clash between the two seems inevitable.

Chiranjeevi’s Viswambhara, delayed due to post-production, might also join the Dussehra race. Tamil film Idli Kadai, ready for release earlier, was also postponed and is now eyeing Dussehra.

Meanwhile, Kantara Chapter 1 has officially locked the Dussehra holiday for its release. Rishab Shetty is determined to stick to the plan.

Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Akhanda 2 is slated for September. But any minor delays could push it into the Dussehra competition too.

In short, Dussehra 2025 is shaping up to be a massive clash of big titles. More clarity is expected in the coming weeks.
