After completing The Raja Saab, Prabhas is gearing up for his 25th film, Spirit, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. While it was earlier pitched as a gritty cop action drama, Bollywood sources now reveal a surprising twist—Spirit is set to be a dark supernatural thriller.
This unexpected genre shift has caught fans and industry watchers off guard. The film is said to offer suspense, eerie moments, and a deep psychological arc, marking a bold transformation in Prabhas’ screen persona.
The shooting of Spirit is expected to begin soon and will run on a continuous schedule, likely wrapping up in six months.
For this role, Prabhas is undergoing a massive physical makeover. He’s reportedly losing weight, trying out a new hairstyle, and donning looks unlike anything he has done before. His character is said to venture into tension-filled, psychological spaces similar to M. Night Shyamalan’s thrillers.
Triptii Dimri has been finalised as the female lead, and music will be composed by Harshavardhan Rameshwar. The film is produced by Pranay Reddy Vanga in association with T-Series. Interestingly, even for Vanga known for dark, emotionally intense dramas like Arjun Reddy, Kabir Singh, and Animal this project signals a major thematic departure.
Before beginning work on Spirit, Prabhas will head to Greece to shoot the remaining sequences for The Raja Saab. Fans are excited to see how he transitions from a romantic entertainer to a supernatural thriller.
