There are literally only a few hours left for the release of Prabhas and Prashanth Neel’s Salaar which stands as one of the biggest mass films of 2023. Hours ahead of the release, Neel has dropped ‘Ugramm’ bomb at the last minute.
Going into the story, there was always a doubt in the minds of Prabhas’s fans so as to if Salaar is a remake of Ugramm. When this topic came up, the team used to give evasive answers and mildly denied the same.
But today, Neel has confirmed that Ugramm’s premise and key characters have been used for Salaar. He says cosmetic changes with regard to the style of presentation have been made. He says certain changes in the narrative and the span of the story are in tune with Prabhas’s superstardom.
The fact that Neel has said Salaar is a vague representation of Ugramm has left Prabhas’s fans amused. Neel added that Salaar will be an amalgamation of Ugramm story and KGF-style presentation.
But as Neel himself said in a file interview, it isn’t about the story but how it is told that is important. Needless to say, not many Telugu people have watched Ugramm till now, so it shouldn’t be a major flaw on this front. As for KGF-style presentation, it was expected all the way.
