Yesterday, the creators of Salaar released a new poster featuring all the characters from the fictional world of Khansar depicted in the film.
Since the movie came out, there has been considerable confusion among the audience regarding the tribes and characters presented in the story. A huge section of the viewers have struggled to grasp the characters and the relationship between them in the film.
The creators have unveiled this new poster in an attempt to clarify the characters for the audience and reduce some confusion. It seems like an acknowledgment that the film’s screenplay was confusing and struggled to establish the characters and their relationships.
Prashanth Neel is frequently compared to SS Rajamouli. The key difference lies in Rajamouli’s skill in setting up the story and characters early on, ensuring the audience understands what to anticipate.
Despite featuring numerous characters in Baahubali, the audience had no trouble understanding any of them. In contrast, Salaar didn’t provide details about the three tribes – Mannars, Shouryaangas, and Ghaniyars. This lack of clarity about the tribes and characters in the second half left many viewers feeling disoriented.
Rajamouli’s strength lies in making films easy to understand and creating strong emotional connections. Both Prashanth Neel and even Lokesh Kangaraj need to establish characters effectively for the audience to actively engage with the screenplay and the emotions the characters experience. They still have a long way to go before they reach the Rajamouli level.
Prashanth Neel No Match To Rajamouli
A section of fans compare Neel to Rajamouli, but judging by #Salaar's output, it seems amateurish to pit him against someone who has directed films like Magadheera, Baahubali, Eega, RRR.
