Production Company Repenting Their Strategy

Srinivasaa Silver ScreenSrinivasaa Chitturi floated his production company, Srinivasaa Silver Screen, in 2018 with U-Turn starring Samantha.

Then the banner came up with Gopichand’s Seetimaarr, which had routine content. However, the film’s box office performance wasn’t too bad and somewhat gave relief to the production house.

Srinivasaa Silver Screen then burned their hands with The Warriorr starring Ram Pothineni. The film, directed by Tamil’s mass director, Lingusamy, was a disaster at the box office. The banner was hopeful of reviving itself with Naga Chaitanya’s latest release, Custody, but this one turned out to be the biggest debacle coming from the banner.

The banner tried a new strategy of making films with directors that come from other languages. But somehow, this strategy has failed as something or the other is going wrong every time.

In the case of The Warriorr, the songs turned out to be a hit, and there was curiosity among the audience to watch the film. But the content turned out to be cringe and outdated.

Coming to Custody, there were decent expectations from the film, as the director’s last film Maanadu was a critical and commercial success. The film needed a decent word of mouth to have better opening and run but that wasn’t the case.

Now the banner is ready with their new film again starring Ram Pothineni. The film is directed by the much-in-demand director Boyapati Srinu who is still riding high on the blockbuster success of his last film, Akhanda. The film’s first glimpse was released yesterday, and it promises to be another mental mass ride from Boyapati.

Let’s hope #BoyapatiRapo turns out to be a big success for the Srinivasa Silver Screen banner, who are looking to score their first hit after a series of flops.
