A section of people on social media is contemplating that Project K is along the lines of the highly acclaimed web series Asur, starring Arshad Warsi and Barun Sobti, which meticulously merged the crime genre with mythology. In the series, a team of forensic experts tries to catch a serial killer who considers himself a reincarnation of the asura Kali.
According to some rumors, Kamal Haasan will play the evil, which will be similar to Kali from the Asur series, and Prabhas will be shown as the last incarnation of Vishnu, Kalki, who will eliminate Kali from the world using futuristic technology.

Prabhas playing one of the avatars might be true. But Project K is going to be completely different from the Asur web series. Also, the scale, vision, execution, and budget of Project K are going to be on a different level altogether.
