The same kind of protests happened before the release of Vjay’s ‘Kaththi’ and it’s repeating now before the release of Dhanush’s production venture ‘Naan Rowdy Dhaan’. A political outfit started raising slogans and protesting against the release of the film in front of superstar Rajnikanth’s house.

Immediately the police were informed and the protesters were arrested. ‘Naan Rowdy Dhaan’ was co-produced by Lyca Productions (which also co-produced Vijay’s Kaththi) alleging that the production house is owned by former Srilankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa’s relatives.
These protests were staged just one day before the release of the film which is all set to hit theatres on 21st October. Nayantara and Vijay Sethupathy are playing the main leads. The trailers and music of the film have earned good buzz for the film.
