The biggest film of 2024 Pushpa 2 is set to release on December 5. However, there seems to be something missing that could push the excitement to a higher level.
The film was initially expected to open with around 75 crores net on its first day in Hindi. Now, the trade has lowered the expectations to around 55-60 crores. There’s still a week left, so things could improve, but the excitement feels lower than expected.

The first Pushpa film, released in 2021, set high expectations for the sequel. Since then, franchise films have become even more popular. This increased pressure on Pushpa 2 to perform well.
Fans were hoping for a huge push from the promotional material, but something crucial seems absent.

The trailer of Pushpa 2 was well-received but didn’t create the “wow factor” fans were hoping for.

This lack of excitement can be seen in overseas ticket sales. The big spike in day-to-day bookings hasn’t happened.
The makers are now planning to release a new trailer on November 30. The full-fledged advance bookings will also start on the same day across India. This trailer is expected to boost the bookings in a big way.
If this release trailer connects with the audience, Pushpa 2 could see an explosive opening. The next few days are extremely crucial for Allu Arjun and team Pushpa 2.
