PVR-cinemas-InoxSouth Indian audience are cinema-crazy people and this is not even debatable. That is the reason why PVR Inox has been rapidly amping up their operations here by setting up new theaters in the South Indian states.

PVR Inox has announced a movie pass, which costs Rs 699 and the buyer can watch 10 films per month at PVR Inox facilities on weekdays(Monday-Thursday). A person can watch 1 film per day and up to 10 films per month.

But the catch here is that this pass isn’t applicable in South Indian states. It is only for North Indian cinema audiences.

This has triggered the South folk as they are of the opinion that PVR Inox has made a cheap move by discriminating between North and South in a program that could be of great help to true cinema lovers.

“If you want to favor only North audience, then leave the South space. Remove all your theaters here. We will watch our films in single screens. If you don’t need us, we don’t need you either” an anguished South Indian Twitter user commented.

This move from PVR Inox to exclude South Indian audiences from their newly launched program has caught the attention all over. It has led to a big uproar.
