Chiranjeevi is undoubtedly a legend and a terrific actor without any doubt. It’s his acting that own him millions of fans. But all this is just one part of the equation, there is another part which comes into play when we talk about stars with such mass phenomena. And this part is about the star interaction with their fans, keeping the fans in the loop, making them feel proud of their star etc. comes under this category.
Chiranjeevi for a long period was superb in the fan building activity, he interacted with them on personal level and made the fans feel special through this kind of interaction that he could take confidence and later start the charity drive. However during his final years as a star and post the start of the audio functions and other such events, somehow his speeches turned into rehearsed drama, from joyful playing to the galleries enthralling fans it became something like a bait to the fans.
Probably this could be the reason why Pawan Kalyan connected so much during the same phase. Pawan Kalyan never went by the script, he has always said what comes naturally to his mind. It is this natural uninhibited flow of words without any pre thought and political correctness that has on him a big share of his fans. So we can see within the Mega family itself two though processes have emerged planned or unplanned.
Now Ram Charan is an emerging star from the camp and he too is expected to follow a similar path. The question therefore here is which path he follows, his father Chiranjeevi’s or Pawan Kalyan’s. From some of his past audio launches (Naayak anyone?) and his speeches there or from some of the frank interviews it looked like Charan has taken Pawan Kalyan’s footsteps, however the recent speech at theatre promoting Yevadu gave an impression of the scripted Chiranjeevi.
Has Ram Charan changed tracks after the recent spate of events both personally (Taj incident) and professionally (Thoofan disaster). It’s not easy following the Pawan way when one in personal life is a complete opposite of it, so has Charan turned a new leaf starting from this speech that we will know in future for sure.
