BO Talk: Ram Charan Must Revive, No Doubt!

Ram Charan Peddi film buzz

Telugu box office has been undergoing a significant dry period for the last few months, and there was a bit of a reprieve of a small proportion last week when Rakasa and Biker released in theatres.

But the general box office talk now is that it is Ram Charan, who must do the heavy lifting himself with his upcoming film Peddi.

This film is originally scheduled for release on April 30, but in all likelihood, it is to be postponed to a later date. The makers have not yet made an official announcement regarding the postponement, but the chances of the film actually releasing in just three weeks from now are very bleak.

What is overwhelmingly evident is that a Telugu audience are desperately waiting for that superstar oriented experience. The drastic failure of Ustad recently has created more vacuum for a blockbuster theatrical experience and this will only go on to help Peddi now.

Adding to that, Peddi is going to be the first mainstream pan India attempt from Telugu cinema in 2026 and this is where we can expect fireworks. A few might say Raja Saab is already on the list but even Prabhas’s fans are dissenting it and aren’t categorising it as a pan Indian film and hence, Peddi will be first film in this category in 2026.

It is for certain that the audience are expecting a proper large screen experience with quality production values, and this opens the doors for Peddi at a huge scale.
