Ram Charan’s Two Big, Strange Statements

Ram Charan at Peddi event

Ram Charan’s Peddi is out, and there has been a lot of discussion around the film ever since the first show.

But leaving all that aside, two statements made by Ram Charan have stood out and come across as quite surprising.

Before the release, Ram Charan repeatedly said, at least six to ten times, that Peddi would become the No.1 film in his entire filmography. Not stopping there, he also said director Buchi Babu would enter the league of India’s top three directors after this film.

When a star of Ram Charan’s stature makes such statements, they carry weight. Naturally, they raised expectations around the film to another level.

Of course, every star promotes their film. Sometimes they judge it right, sometimes they misjudge it, and making bold claims before release is nothing new.

But what surprised many people was what Ram Charan said at the Thank You Meet yesterday. He revealed that he had not watched the film until Sunday.

That statement left many shocked. If the hero himself had not watched the film before release, it naturally raises questions among audiences. At the same time, Ram Charan had confidently declared it would become the best film of his career and even projected Buchi Babu into the league of directors like Rajamouli and Sandeep Reddy Vanga at the Pan-India level.

That contrast is what many found unusual and surprising.
