Ram Charan’s pan-India movie Peddi is up for release on June 4th. Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, the makers released the film’s theatrical trailer at an event in Mumbai.
At the center of this whirlwind stands Ram Charan, disappearing entirely into the soul of Peddi, a man who treats every sport as both his livelihood and his language. Cricket, wrestling, running, each discipline becomes a battle he must win, not for glory, but for survival and dignity. His rise sparks a fierce rivalry with a scheming landlord who cannot tolerate Peddi’s growing influence.
Director Buchi Babu Sana constructs this universe with the belief of a storyteller who knows exactly what he wants to say. The frames feel lived-in, the drama feels earned, and the emotions cut deep. Even in the 3-minute span of the trailer, the world of Peddi feels grounded.
What the trailer tries to highlight is Ram Charan’s shape-shifting intensity. As a sportsman morphing from one discipline to another, he brings raw physical authority. As a man fighting silent battles, he brings emotional texture. As Peddi, he is ferocious, vulnerable, and fiercely rooted, often all at once.
Janhvi Kapoor adds a spicy vibe to the rustic setting, while Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, Divyenndu, and Boman Irani bolster the trailer with their presence.
Production designer Avinash Kolla paints a rustic landscape. The visuals are crafted by cinematographer Rathnavelu. The BGM is done by AR Rahman.
With backing from Vriddhi Cinemas, Mythri Movie Makers, and Sukumar Writings.
