
When Sandeep Reddy Vanga decided to add the title of “Superstar” beside Ranbir Kapoor’s name in the posters of Animal, everyone thought he was exaggerating.
Everyone opined that an actor who has delivered only one 300-crore film in his 15-year career, Sanju, and that too because of a director like Raju Hirani, doesn’t seem to deserve the title of Superstar. However, after the release of Animal, Ranbir Kapoor has become a rage not only in the North but also among South audiences.

For the last three decades, there has been a monopoly held by the three Khans. Shah Rukh Khan single-handedly ruled from the early ’90s until 2010. After that, Salman Khan and Aamir Khan took over, delivering big blockbusters. No actor could ever match the popularity and box office success of the three Khans.
Hrithik Roshan emerged as a true challenger, but his on-and-off success ratio due to poor film choices made him lag behind the Khans. However, after Animal, Ranbir Kapoor has truly emerged as the ‘Superstar’ who can lead Bollywood for the next decade.

Shah Rukh Khan made an unprecedented comeback in 2023 with Pathaan and Jawan, reclaiming the throne of the biggest star. However, Aamir and Salman are no longer in the picture.
Salman was supposed to display his stardom with Tiger 3, but the film fell flat and emerged as a big flop despite being a major Diwali release. In fact, Animal surpassed the lifetime collections of Tiger 3 in four days flat.

Ranbir Kapoor is the next best bet in Bollywood after Shah Rukh Khan. Given his talent as a performer, if he selects his projects carefully and collaborates with filmmakers who can showcase him as Vanga did, then he will be right there among the biggest superstars in the country.
