Ranveer Singh in Devara 2

Despite solid box office numbers, Devara Part 1 has turned into a major disappointment, not just for the general audience but even for NTR’s own fans, especially after its OTT release on Netflix.

The film’s weak storytelling, dull execution, and lack of impact have left fans completely uninterested in Part 2.

However, Koratala Siva refuses to accept reality. Instead of moving on, he is desperately clinging to Devara 2 as his redemption project.

He reportedly turned down multiple big offers from top stars, believing he can somehow prove that Devara was always a great script. But the hard truth is—fans simply don’t care anymore.

Koratala should consider himself lucky that Devara 1 even managed to get decent box office numbers despite the backlash. Instead of forcing a sequel that nobody wants, he should move on and take up fresh projects.

Meanwhile, NTR has already moved on! With War 2 and his Prashanth Neel project, he is targeting big-league commercial films that elevate his mass appeal in Bollywood and pan-India markets.

After watching him in Prashanth Neel’s ultra-mass action film, there’s no way fans will accept him in Devara’s outdated, sluggish world again. They are openly rejecting the idea of a sequel.

Desperate to revive interest, Koratala is now trying to bring in Ranveer Singh for Part 2, hoping to sell it as a bigger Bollywood-friendly film.

But with NTR’s rising career graph and fan backlash growing stronger, the real question is—does Devara 2 even stand a chance anymore?

The hype is dead and Koratala’s obsession with proving himself might just be his biggest mistake yet.
