Pushpa became a landmark film for Allu Arjun and his career’s most significant milestone. The kind of reach, stardom, accolades, awards, and rewards he got with the film are unbelievable yet deservingly so.
Not just Allu Arjun, many benefitted from Pushpa. But there’s one who couldn’t get the mileage she was looking for after Pushpa, and that’s Rashmika Mandanna.
Rashmika’s role was poorly written in the first place, and then she had to become the subject of trolls for no fault of hers. But it can’t be denied that she made a significant contribution in giving some push to Pushpa in the North.
During the promotions, Rashmika aggressively participated and danced to Srivalli and Saami Na Saami songs at all events without throwing any tantrums. The songs became so popular that many Bollywood-based dance shows also featured those songs in a big way, with girls emulating Rashmika.
Despite all that, Rashmika Mandanna has been completely sidelined without any credit. Even after the recent big win at the National Awards, no one remembered or mentioned Rashmika Mandanna in any way, which is unfortunate. Hope she gets her due in the second part of Pushpa.
