Routine ‘MCA’ Nani Stamps Authority Over Hello

Routine 'MCA' Nani Stamps Authority Over Hello MovieRight from the beginning, few things were evident. That MCA (Middle Class Abbayi) looked like a routine fare and Hello gave a fresh vibe. Concerning the combination, MCA had the best among the two despite a weak director. For all the heroics of Vikram K Kumar, he is still ‘relatively’ unknown to the common man.

Weighting down the factors, the expectation was that MCA would surely get the better opening whereas Hello would follow suit, but would still be close to it. As soon as the bookings opened, the bigger difference was also apparent. However, there was hope that the reviews and word of mouth would bring balance. Unfortunately, even that has not happened.

MCA has stamped its authority over Hello and trounced it with the initials. The opening for MCA is double of Hello. In fact, the opening day of Hello is less or on par with second-day of MCA. What is even more noteworthy is that despite the word of mouths being better for Hello, the Nani starrer is the one that is pulling the crowds.

MCA just proves what we have been telling for some time now. But, Hello’s performance, especially in the Telugu states is coming as a shocker. The opening is weak, and the second day, the numbers have dropped further. It is clear the audience is not interested in Akhil or the film. If it is the former, it could be a killer blow to the actor. But if it’s the latter, there will be a chance again for Akhil. That’s for some other day to talk as Hello is still in early days.

For now, all the focus should be on MCA and deservedly so. Nani as an emerging star has taken another big jump in his stardom. Years of hard work and consistent performance is finally yielding the results. While the success is fine, he needs to be careful with his script. The next time he delivers an MCA, the audience might not be too kind.
