On August 15, three films—Stree 2, Khel Khel Mein, and Vedaa—collected ₹75 crore combined. With Pushpa 2’s hype, analysts believe it could have opened to ₹90-100 crore.
The holiday boost could have made it a box office phenomenon and shown the full power of pan-Indian cinema in the Hindi market.

It would have released on Independence Day and utilized the unmatched footfalls of a national holiday. Riding on Allu Arjun’s growing Hindi fan base and the legacy of Pushpa, the sequel could redefine benchmarks and challenge the dominance of South Indian cinema over Bollywood.
WAR 2, the film that is scheduled to come on 14th August 2025 under the directorial team of Hrithik Roshan and NTR, has to just make it work out of its Independence Day slot for opening day ₹100 crores. Clash with the Delhi Files may scuttle things however. Holiday will be utilized though for box office test of critical benchmarks.
