NTR is one star whose films have now become much-awaited not only in the Telugu states but on a pan-India level after the phenomenal success of RRR. His next film, NTR30, in the direction of Koratala Siva, is going to start shooting soon amid high expectations.
Though officially not confirmed, there are reports that Saif Ali Khan has come on board to play the main villain in the film.

Starting as a chocolaty hero in the 90s, Saif has come a long way in the last three decades. He is now known as one of the most versatile heroes in Indian cinema who can play any role effortlessly. But his most compelling performance was in the role of the evil Langda Tyagi in Omkara.
An intense villain in the form of Saif Ali Khan can be the perfect foil to the raw fury of NTR. It would be a delight to see two powerhouses pitted against each other.

But there’s a glitch. North Indian actors haven’t turned out to be very efficient villains in Telugu films. Even a great actor like Irrfan Khan gave a laughable performance in Mahesh Babu’s Sainikudu. Vivek Oberoi also received brickbats for his performance in Vinaya Vidheya Rama.
Jackie Shroff gave some terrible performances as a villain in films like Shakti and Saaho. Even a seasoned actor like Nawazuddin Siddiqui turned out to be a flat villain opposite Rajinikanth in Petta.

Saif Ali Khan is also cast as Raavan in Prabhas’ Adipurush, and the response hasn’t been great. But that negative response is more for the look and VFX and not for Saif Ali Khan.
So it all depends on how Koratala Siva designs the character of Saif Ali Khan. If he can chalk out a powerful character for the villain, then rest assured, Saif will deliver a knockout performance.
Janhvi Kapoor has been signed to play the female lead in NTR30, which is going to be produced by Sudhakar Mikkilineni and Harikrishna and will be released in April 2024.
