Prabhas’ “Salaar,” directed by Prashanth Neel, left audiences in anticipation with a gripping cliffhanger, hinting at a major showdown between Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran.
In a recent interview, Prashanth Neel expressed his eagerness to unveil the climax and hinted at preparations for “Salaar 2.” Confirming this, producer Vijay Kiragandur from Hombale Films revealed that the sequel is slated for a theatrical release by the end of 2025.
Vijay Kiragandur assured fans of an even more immersive cinematic experience with “Salaar 2,” promising a storyline reminiscent of Game of Thrones, rich in drama, politics, and action.
While this isn’t the first time Vijay Kiragandur has made such baseless announcements, his track record dates back to May 2022 after the release of KGF 2. During that period, he had hinted at a third installment in the KGF franchise, with production starting in October 2022 and a projected release in 2024.
The producer also unveiled plans to create a KGF universe akin to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, envisioning a narrative that weaves together various characters across different movies.
However, now everyone must have realized that these statements should not be taken seriously. Even if KGF 3 happens, it won’t be released before 2027.
Prashanth Neel, currently engrossed in the pre-production of his next project with NTR, indicates that while “Salaar 2” might be on the horizon, it will inevitably take time, given Prabhas’ commitment to various other projects.
Contrary to Kiragandur’s announcement, it seems unlikely that “Salaar 2” will hit the screens in 2025, with the earliest possible release now anticipated in the latter half of 2026.
