Salaar: Will Prithviraj Overshadow Prabhas?

Salaar-Prabhas-Prashanth-Neel-Prithviraj

Malayalam actor and director Prithviraj Sukumaran is set to make a comeback to the Telugu film industry after a 13-year break with Prashanth Neel’s highly-anticipated epic action film, “Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire,” starring Prabhas. Salaar is Prithviraj’s second straight Telugu film after Police Police in 2010.

In the post-pandemic era, Prithviraj gained huge popularity among the Telugu audience due to the exposure on OTT. Films like Mumbai Police, Memories, Lucifer, Jana Gana Mana, and Ayyapanum Koshiyum brought him closer to the Telugu audience.

He has a solid screen presence and is a gifted actor. There are chances that he might overshadow even Prabhas in crucial scenes. But since Prabhas is the hero, Prashanth Neel would have dedicated all the whistle-worthy and elevation scenes to Prabhas instead of Prithviraj.

According to reports, Prithviraj will have more footage in the first half of the film as Prabhas will make his entry towards the interval. We have to see what kind of impact does Prithviraj make in Salaar.

Prithviraj recently asserted that Salaar exceeds the scale of Neel’s previous blockbuster KGF. Prithviraj expressed his admiration for Neel but emphasized that Salaar is much grander and its scale is similar to that of “Game of Thrones,” with substantial drama, character dynamics, and intense action.
