Bollywood star Salman Khan is ready with his new film Kick. Its first look and trailer are going to be released on June 15 but just a small glimpse of poster released today has raised the curiosity to a whole new level with the fans going crazy. But as this is a remake many feel the experience could be same as his last release Jai Ho which was a carbon copy of Stalin.
However debutant director Sajid Nadiadwala, also the producer of the film, assures that Kick will not give déjà vu feel like Jai Ho. In fact it’s not an outright remake and only six scenes are in common between the original and remake, he said. Salman Khan plays character called Devil in the film and he is completely different from the character Ravi Teja played in the original. Only common thing between the two characters is that they will do anything for kick.
Given the result of Jai Ho, this is a good sign but deviating too much from the original source could have problems of its own. One hopes there aren’t such issues here.
