It has been almost two years since audiences saw Samantha in a major role on the big screen. Her last full-length film was Kushi, which performed averagely. Later, she made a cameo in Subham, but it failed to create an impact.
In a candid interview with Grazia India, Samantha spoke about her break from acting. She said her focus was on health and personal well-being. She also shared that she prefers meaningful projects over frequent appearances. Alongside films, she has engaged in social initiatives, which she finds deeply fulfilling.
Currently, Samantha is busy with the ambitious web series Rakt Brahmand, directed by Raj and DK. Rumours of delays due to financial issues have been dismissed, with the makers confirming smooth progress. Backed by Netflix with a budget of over Rs. 200 crores, the series is being made on a grand scale. She has also announced Maa Inti Bangaram, likely to be directed by Nandini Reddy.
Even with her packed schedule, Samantha remains selective about projects. Reports of her doing a special song in a Ram Charan film were untrue. She also stepped back after the dull response to Amazon Prime’s Citadel. Despite rumours about her personal life, she has preferred to stay private and away from unnecessary attention.
Public curiosity about her future partner continues after her separation from Naga Chaitanya. Yet, Samantha has managed to stay relevant, carefully balancing her professional choices and personal space. Her selective approach keeps fans interested in every update about her.
