Triptii Dimri is fast climbing the charts of popularity after her sizzling performance in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal. Even though she did give some memorable performances before, Animal gave her recognition, despite her role being not so well written. That’s what a blockbuster film can do to an actor’s career.

Now she is coming up with Bad Newz releasing this week and it looks like the film might turn out to be good news for the box office if the advance bookings are anything to go by.

Trade reports indicate that Bad Newz has already sold approximately 18,000 tickets in the top three national chains—PVRInox and Cinepolis—by Wednesday night for the opening day alone, with PVRInox selling 14,500 tickets and Cinepolis 3,500 tickets.

The film is expected to sell over 42,000 tickets in advance, potentially reaching 50,000 depending on pre-sales movement on Thursday. This indicates strong awareness and interest among the youth, which should drive further sales.

In comparison, Akshay Kumar’s recent release, Sarfira, sold only 8,000 pre-sale tickets in the same chains. Triptii Dimri has surpassed Akshay Kumar in terms of current stardom.

Speculations suggest that Bad Newz could achieve a double-digit opening-day collection at the box office. Depending on final sales, the opening day collection is expected to be between Rs 7.50 to 8.50 crore. The strong pre-sales position Bad Newz among the top 10 of the year, signaling a promising start.
