Mahesh Babu’s chain of theaters, AMB Cinemas, in Kondapur, has now become the center of controversy when a woman customer was told that they could not accept a Rs 2000 note for the purchase of tickets.
The woman in question was quite outraged that though the RBI guidelines say that Rs 2000 notes are legal tender till they are withdrawn, the person from AMB management refused to accept the note.

Ironically, both the AMB staff member and the lady customer shot their videos of the duel that have gone viral. When the lady demanded that they accept the note in keeping with RBI guidelines, the AMB management person clearly told her that they do not follow RBI rules and that his company has taken a decision not to accept any Rs 2000 notes.
The duel continued for a good five minutes approximately, and the AMB staff member did not budge from his stand. The woman then said that she would pursue the issue further, and that is where the issue stands.
