After starring in some inconsequential films, Siddhu Jonnalagadda found his mojo with Krishna and His Leela, which he wrote and edited also. The film was well appreciated when it was released directly on NetFlix in 2020.
His next film DJ Tillu turned out to be a huge theatrical blockbuster, and Siddhu finally arrived on the big scene. Now he is coming up with its sequel, Tillu Square. This time also, he is providing the script for the film like its first part. The film is expected to repeat the success of DJ Tillu.
Siddhu has been finalizing his next project post-Tillu Square. One of his next projects might be the directorial debut of Neeraja Kona, a known stylist & sister of screenwriter Kona Venkat. The film is speculated to be a romantic and thriller story. However, no official announcement has been made yet.
Siddhu is also in advance talks with another female director, Nandini Reddy, for a film opposite Samantha. If Samantha is the heroine, and that too in a film directed by Nandini Reddy, people expect the hero to get no or less scope to perform as an actor.
Siddhu is also considering Megastar Chiranjeevi’s next film to be directed by Kalyana Krishna of Soggade Chinni Nayana fame. Touted to be an out-and-out family entertainer, we have to see what scope Siddhu will get in front of Megastar.
Siddhu Jonnalagadda is someone who has a grip on all the 24 arts of filmmaking. When other directors failed to give him success, he himself wrote stories, designed good characters for himself, set up the projects, and achieved success.
His films after Tillu Square don’t seem to be too exciting as of now, but let’s hope Siddhu continues his success streak even outside the Tillu series.
