Tollywood actress Sohani Kumari’s fiancé, Sawai Singh, died by suicide in their Jubilee Hills flat. He was found hanging in the dining area. Before his death, Sawai Singh recorded a selfie video admitting he was troubled by his past mistakes.
Sohani Kumari, who hails from Rajasthan, met Sawai Singh on Instagram. Their friendship soon turned into a relationship, and they got engaged in July last year. Since then, the couple had been living together in a rented apartment in Jubilee Hills Prashasan Nagar.
On the day of the incident, Sohani went out after Sawai Singh left for office. When she returned, she discovered him hanging and immediately informed the police. The police reached the spot and sent the body for post-mortem examination.
During the investigation, police recovered the video message. Sohani Kumari told them that Sawai Singh struggled to forget his former girlfriend and was also under financial stress. She believed these issues drove him to end his life.
Police have started questioning Sawai Singh’s former girlfriend as part of the inquiry.
