After the success of Baahubali, Prabhas developed a unique working style — juggling multiple projects simultaneously. This multitasking approach became a defining part of his career.
However, that’s about to change with Spirit, his upcoming film with Animal and Arjun Reddy director Sandeep Reddy Vanga.
According to inside sources, Sandeep Vanga has taken complete creative control of Spirit and has asked Prabhas to dedicate himself fully to the project. Surprisingly, Prabhas has agreed.
He is set to begin shooting in September and has reportedly cleared his schedule to focus exclusively on this film — a rare move for the star.
Sandeep Vanga has big plans. He has asked Prabhas to undergo a total physical and mental transformation for the role, which sees him playing a fierce and intense police officer.
From body language and dialogue delivery to his overall look, everything is being reimagined. The director made it clear that juggling other films would dilute the performance — and Prabhas has complied.
This level of influence is being compared to the control S.S. Rajamouli had over Prabhas during the making of Baahubali.
Currently, Prabhas is wrapping up Raja Saab, which is expected to release on December 5. Meanwhile, his other film Fauji, directed by Hanu Raghavapudi, is reportedly only halfway through and may be temporarily paused to accommodate Spirit.
Though these are unconfirmed reports, but if this development is true then it is going to be a huge blow to Hanu Raghavapudi’s Fauji as the film might get delayed for another 3-4 months.
With Vanga focusing heavily on pre-production and character detailing, Spirit is shaping up to be one of Prabhas’s most focused performances since Baahubali.
Sandeep Reddy Vanga is the only director who has been able to command this level of dedication from the rebel star after SS Rajamouli.
