However, these plans were eventually shelved, and Vikram’s recent reaction reveals a deeper sentiment of disappointment and hurt.

In a recent conversation, Vikram addressed the speculation surrounding the potential remake. He expressed that he wasn’t the best person to comment on the remake details, suggesting that director Shankar would be more suited to provide insights.

“I think you should ask Shankar. He should have made part two with me,” Vikram said coldly, subtly revealing his disappointment that Shankar did not consider him for a sequel.

Despite the project being put on hold, Vikram had positive words for Ranveer Singh, noting, “On a serious note, I thought Ranveer would have made a nice Anniyan. I really like him as a star.”

However, his admiration was tinged with a hint of regret as he added, “I would have loved to see his version of it because I’m curious how he would interpret the character.”

Vikram’s comments suggest that he feels hurt and perhaps overlooked, given his emotional investment in the original film and his expressed desire to be involved in a sequel.

In essence, while Vikram acknowledges Ranveer Singh’s potential, his remarks also reflect a sense of missed opportunity and personal disappointment that Shankar did not opt to revisit Anniyan with him.
