Earlier, M Sharmila, 24, made headlines by becoming the first female bus driver in Coimbatore. But she soon ran into controversies with high-profile visits to the bus that she is riding.
Recently, DMK MP, Kanimozhi took the bus and traveled with Sharmila briefly. Snaps of Sharmila and the female conductor on the bus giving tickets to Kaimozhi went viral on social media. This came after BJP MLA,Vanathi Srinivasan took rode the bus recently.
Shortly after these high-profile visits, the bus company management started accusing Sharmila of attention-grabbing acts in front of the media. Distraught by the same, she quit her job.
But what followed later for Sharmila was much more rewarding as superstar Kamal Haasan, who is very active in Tamil Nadu politics these days, has gifted the former a car.
Kamal met with Sharmila earlier today and gifted her a car to continue her aspiration. Kamal gifted her a brand new car, say reports. This has become a talking point in Tamil Nadu politics now.
