The tentative title of ‘Madras’ had been “Kaali’ during the making of the movie.

Now that Ranjith is doing his next with superstar Rajnikanth, it seems the filmmaker isn’t able to get over the hangover of his popular character he created. It’s rumoured that Rajnikanth’s name in his next would be Kaali and the tentative title of the small film with a superstar would also be ‘Kaali’.
Though this might be the initial working title, one can’t expect that the title would remain the same till the end as it happened in the case of “Madras’. ‘Kaali’ would be the namesake of ‘Karthi’ from Madras if superstar gets the same name for his role of the gangster he is going to essay.
