The much-anticipated Rajinikanth starrer, Jailer, directed by Beast fame Nelson is getting ready for its theatrical release on August 10.
The first song from the film, Kaavaalaa, is going to release today at 6 PM. The song surprisingly features Tamannaah and not Rajinikanth. The makers have announced the news of the song’s arrival with a poster with Tamannaah in sexy and sultry bikini-like attire.
Usually for Rajinikanth’s films, the first song to be released is a rocking mass title song where the superstar is seen shaking his legs to please his fans. But this time the makers are relying on Tamannaah’s glamor instead of Rajini’s superstardom.
Of late, Tamannaah has been in the news for her bold and wild roles in OTT shows like Lust Stories 2 and Jee Karda. The audience’s response showed that people like her in glamorous roles but not in vulgar and cheap roles where she is shown as some sex-crazy despo. Tamannaah’s image has taken a beating after such raunchy shows.
But strangely, the makers of Jailer believe Tamannaah’s glamor in an item song will bring hype to a Rajinikanth film.
‘Jailer’ is a comedy thriller primarily shot in Kerala and Hyderabad, with Rajinikanth portraying the role of a jailer. Produced by Kalanithi Maran under the banner of Sun Pictures, Jailer features music by Anirudh Ravichander and cinematography by Vijay Kartik Kannan.
