Telugu cinema has a solid Superstar in Mahesh Babu and it is not going to change in foreseeable future as well. We are talking about the anointment of a new Superstar in Tamil cinema among the current generation of stars.
Not so long ago a leading magazine in Tamil conducted a massive poll to find out which existing star does the people in Tamil Nadu consider as a Superstar, someone who can be treated as a successor to Rajinikanth. The result was a massive victory to Ilayathalapathy Vijay, the current reigning star in Tamil cinema. Now the magazine has decided to organize a huge function to coronate the new Superstar and reports suggest that Superstars from across various film industries in the country will be attending the function. One is still not certain as to who those ‘Superstars’ would be but already massive hype is being generated for this function.
Ever since the poll was announced and conducted, there has been friction between various fan groups and it reached a peak when the final result were declared. Wonder what this new development will lead into?
