Milestone 50th Film: Is Anil Ravipudi the Surprise Choice?

Suriya and Anil Ravipudi film speculation

Following the success of Karuppu, Suriya is preparing for the release of his 46th film, Vishwanath and Sons, directed by Venky Atluri. The shooting for the film was completed before the release of Karuppu, and the movie is currently scheduled to arrive in theatres on August 14.

At the same time, Suriya is busy filming the commercial entertainer tentatively titled Suriya 47, directed by Jithu Madhavan. The project is nearing completion and is expected to release either by the end of this year or early next year.

While Suriya has not officially announced his projects after Suriya 47, reports suggest that he may collaborate with Pa Ranjith for his 48th film and TJ Gnanavel for his 49th outing. Amid these developments, the actor is reportedly listening to multiple scripts to finalise his landmark 50th film.

Strong industry speculation now indicates that Suriya could join hands with Telugu filmmaker Anil Ravipudi for his milestone 50th project. Reports claim that the collaboration is close to being finalised, with an official announcement expected in the near future.

The speculation has received positive responses from many movie enthusiasts. Supporters believe that Anil Ravipudi’s impressive track record at the box office makes him a suitable choice for such an important project. They argue that despite criticism from some quarters, the director has consistently delivered commercially successful films.

However, another section of audiences has raised concerns about Suriya’s recent preference for directors from other industries. Some believe that his collaborations with Venky Atluri and Jithu Madhavan suggest a lack of confidence in Tamil filmmakers. They feel that handing over his 50th film to a Telugu director could strengthen this perception.

As of now, there has been no official confirmation regarding this reported collaboration. It remains to be seen whether Suriya and Anil Ravipudi will indeed come together for the actor’s landmark 50th film and how the project will shape up if it moves forward.
