BJP leader and Dubbaka MLA Raghunandan Rao has faced criticism from within his own party due to his recent remarks expressing disappointment in the party’s conduct.
Local party leaders have united against him and are preparing to take action with the slogan ‘Raghunandan ko Hathao.. BJPko Bachao’ (Remove Raghunandan to Save BJP).
Raghunandan Rao’s comments were seen as outrageous by party cadres who had worked hard during the Dubbaka by-election. They were particularly upset with his remarks against Bandi Sanjay, who was sent from Karimnagar to campaign extensively in the villages.
Raghunandan Rao’s comments were seen as defamatory towards party activists who had put in significant effort for the by-election’s success.
Although Raghunandan Rao was credited for the victory in the by-election, questions were raised regarding his failure to secure the deposit in the previous general election.
As a result of his defamatory remarks against the party, it has been decided to take action against him and protect the BJP from internal conflicts. The internal differences within the Telangana BJP are unlikely to be resolved in the near future.
