Telugu Indian Idol has witnessed a Retro Special round this week. The contestants made improvisations to some retro songs and performed in front of the judges Thaman, Nithya Menen and Karthik. The voting lines are currently open and we have to see who is going to get eliminated from the show next week.
Participant 1: Pranathi
Song: Jallantha Kavvintha
Movie: Geethanjali
Karthik initially pretended as if he did not like her improvisations in the Charanam. But later, all the judges gave it a Bomma Blockbuster performance.
Participant 2: Maruthi
Song: Chukkalu Themmanna
Movie: April 1 Vidudala
All the three judges did not like Maruthi’s performance. Thaman mentioned that it is a disappointing performance and felt that he could have sung it well.
Participant 3: Vagdevi
Song: Konchem Neeru Konchem Nippu
Movie: Donga Donga
Vagdevi has put up a brilliant performance with this song and has crooned it very well. She was in the danger zone last week but she made a successful comeback this week and bagged a Bomma Blockbuster performance.
Participant 4: Manya
Song: Janavule
Movie: Aditya 369
Manya sang the song so well but she had done a few mistakes in between. However, the judges praised her for picking up the song and adding so much soul to it.
Participant 5: Aditi Bhavaraju
Song: Rojala Letha
Movie: Gharashana
Aditi sang it so well but the judges decided to pull out a prank. Initially, Thaman expressed his anger toward the sound team and then mentioned that Aditi was disappointed completely and failed to perform it well. Later, Karthik also told the same. However, before Aditi broke out into tears, the judges revealed that it is a Bomma Blockbuster performance.
*Highlights*
– Pranathi and Jayanth enacted the famous train scene from the film Geethanjali.
– Maruthi mentioned that Jayanth, Lalasa, and Vagdevi snore a lot.
– Manya shared an emotional story that their parents initially wanted a baby boy but today, her father is very happy with her performance and singing. If given a chance to travel back in time and correct something, she said that she would sing well and not disappoint her father again.
