Anushka vs YT Star vs Tamil Hero: September Clash

Telugu film posters lined up for September

As September approaches, the Telugu film industry is looking forward to a stronger month after a disappointing run in August. Big-ticket releases like War 2 and Coolie failed to meet expectations, leaving producers and trade circles disheartened.

The only film that managed to gain some attention in August was Lokah Chapter 1. However, being a dubbed film with limited mass reach, it couldn’t make a big splash at the box office.

Now, the focus shifts to September, which begins with several interesting releases on 5th September. Among them is Anushka’s Ghaati, directed by Krish. Set in a smuggling backdrop similar to Pushpa, the film has sparked curiosity. Although Anushka hasn’t actively promoted it, the producer, hero, and director are handling publicity, as agreed earlier.

Another film releasing the same week is Little Hearts, starring social media star Mauli. Aimed at the youth, the film is backed by producer Bunny Vaas, who is hopeful for a sleeper hit.

Meanwhile, Madharaasi, starring Sivakarthikeyan, has struggled to gain traction in Telugu markets. Despite being directed by Murugadoss, the film hasn’t generated strong buzz. However, with higher ticket prices post-Amaran’s success, it might still do well if it earns good reviews.

Also lined up is the dubbed Hollywood horror flick The Conjuring: The Final Rites, expected to perform well in multiplexes. Trade analysts also see potential in The Bengal Files, which could surprise audiences like The Kashmir Files did.

With multiple releases and genres clashing in the first week itself, it remains to be seen which film wins over the audience and becomes September’s first box office success.
