Prabhas‘ project with director Maruthi started off as a quickie and a relief from other heavy-weight films in his lineup. But with time the project became bigger and now it is being released as another pan-India biggie from Prabhas.
The film has been titled ‘The Raja Saab’ and its first look poster was unveiled on the occasion of Sankranthi. The poster shows Prabhas in a black shirt and colorful lungi, happily dancing on a street that looks like it recently hosted a celebration.
Director Maruthi has been struggling with continuous failures in the last 2-3 years. His films have not been able to impress the Telugu audience and now he is attempting a big pan-India film.
Raja Saab is a big opportunity for Maruthi to prove his mettle and show his skills as a proficient director who can handle big stars as well. While it’s a huge opportunity it is also going to be a huge challenge for him to impress the audience from not only Telugu states but also in other languages. It is going to be a make-or-break project for him.
Reportedly the film is a horror comedy and the expectations from this film in terms of cinematic experience aren’t as high as they are from other Prabhas’ films like Kalki or Salaar 2 but a fun-filled ride is definitely expected and there is hope that Maruthi delivers and exceeds all expectations.
