Prasad V Potluri, one of the big directors in the Telugu Film Industry came here with a business hoping that they can make films here with some organization. The producer found out that everything might seem rosy but, it is not so.
He mentions how people here don’t adhere to the contract that they had signed and when the producer asks about it, they say that the producer is blackmailing the heroines. Prasad V Potluri shared some of his experiences in a recent interview how he was disillusioned about Tollywood.
In the case of ‘Oopiri’, the heroine who already took the advance gave him hand just a week before the shooting commences. She didn’t even return the advance she took. In another case, a big director started a big film without any bound script.
Most of the producers get to see the film just 48 hours before their film’s release, says the producer who says that he had lost huge money here but, still wants to continue as he wants to see Tollywood be an organized industry like it happens in Hollywood and Bollywood.
