Tamil Superstar film Illathalapathy Vijay’s film Theri has been released across globe on Tamil New Year eve. The film released in record number of screens across globe except in Telugu states. Theri collected nearly $247K from USA premiers thus setting a non Rajni film record.

Right from Teaser, Theri created many prerelease records in Kollywood. The trailer of the film also looks quite upped the expectations on this film. But Theri received average marks from the audience for its routine content. The second half of the movie seems to lack good and engaging screenplay added the film to the list of numerous Vijay’s typical entertainers. Interestingly, Amy Jackson who played second heroine in this film has been receiving huge applause for her Nainika role sidelining the main lead Samantha role.
In Telugu States the film dubbed as ‘Police’ and will be released tomorrow. Producer Dil Raju has pinned hopes on the Telugu version of the film. Lets wait and see how this film will be received by Telugu audience.
