Our readers are aware that Sri Gayatri Devi Films’ Battula Satyanarayana (Vizag Satish) moved court against Producer Anil Sunkara on Agent disaster. Satish is the wholesale buyer of Agent (For AP, Telangana, and Karnataka) but he claims that he was given only Vizag area at the last minute.
Satish submitted a Memorandum of Understanding Cum Letter of Undertaking to the court. It was signed by Garikipati Krishna Kishore of Anil Sunkara’s company. He demanded stalling of Bhola Shankar’s release but the court did not entertain.
Anil Sunkara and his team claim that it is a forgery document.
Meanwhile, Guild has taken cognizance of this matter. It has issued a directive to all its members not to give distribution rights to any films to Vizag Satish.
We do not know if it is an official directive or oral instruction but it will be binding on all the members.
All top production houses are members of Guild and so, this will be big trouble for Satish.
He already lost any chance of settlement for Agent be it any small amount.
Satish is close to Mythri Movie Makers and they have good terms. He is hoping that he will get Mythri films for distribution but with this directive of the Guild, more or less the doors are closed.
Meanwhile, one petition of many petitions Satish is still not struck by the court. Satish says he believes in the legal system and will pursue the legal battle. We will have to see what happens next!
