The-Sankranthi-Hopefuls---A-ListThe upcoming Nithiin starrer is the first film from Telugu cinema to announce a Sankranthi 2021 release. It is keeping in mind the current corona crisis; otherwise, we all know RRR had taken the date. But, Rang De is not the only one to look at Sankranthi, there are a few more. Here we take a look at them.

As things stand today, the biggest release of Sankranthi 2021 would be Powerstar Pawan Kalyan’s comeback film, Vakeel Saab. Dil Raju produces the movie, and he is planning a festival release.

In case, the cinemas are open, but the shooting doesn’t resume leaving Vakeel Saab unfinished, the producer will bring his V at the same time.

Then there will be Ram’s Red and Panjaa Vaisshnav Tej’s debut film Uppena. The makers behind these films (Sri Sravanti Movies and Mythti Movie Makers) only want a theatrical release for them and Sankranthi 2021 is on their radar.

Basically, it will be summer 2020 replicated for Sankranthi 2021 with a few surprise additions like Rang De.

The Tamil biggie Master will be arriving for Sankranthi if that is the time theatres resume screening. They have Diwali 2020 in mind, but it will be a wait and watch scenario to gauge the interest of the audience.

Superstar Rajinikanth’s upcoming film, Annaatthe is also officially announced as Pongal 2021 release. However, a final decision will be made in the coming months as the shooting is not yet complete.

All in all, Sankranthi 2021 would be host to many medium budget flicks instead of a standard couple of biggies.
