Sreeleela made a hit debut with Pelli SandaD where she displayed decent acting and dancing chops. Her second film, ‘Dhamaka,’ became a super hit, thanks to her glamour and dance, earning her a place in the list of star heroines.
Following the success of ‘Dhamaka,’ Tollywood echoed the name Sreeleela. Big banners offered her huge advances, and she accepted most of them with open arms. But then most of her films started flopping and she became an easy target for trolling.
In her latest film, Guntur Kaaram, she again got criticized for doing a role that didn’t have much to contribute to the story except for looking beautiful and just shaking her booty in dance numbers.
The question arises: What’s next for Sreeleela? Is her career in jeopardy? Some criticize her for not being choosy about scripts and roles.
Yet, Sreeleela’s achievements are noteworthy for such a young actress. From starring opposite Mahesh Babu to securing her position, she capitalized on opportunities and earned enough revenue.
Realizing the unpredictable nature of the film industry, she wisely embraced whatever came her way during her rise and secured herself financially.
Could being selective have led to a different path, perhaps akin to Anushka or Samantha? Or at least reaching the heights of Pooja Hegde or Rashmika Mandanna? No one knows.
Sreeleela’s strategy involved accepting whatever roles and films came her way while simultaneously pursuing her MBBS. Even after Guntur Kaaram, more offers are likely. If any of them succeeds, then her career would be renewed for a few more years.
She has Ustaad Bhagath Singh with Pawan kalyan. She was also supposed to do Vijay Deverakonda’s next but there is no clarity as of now. We have to see what the future holds for Sreeleela. Till now it can be safely said that she had quite a successful career.
