Whenever a part 2 sequel is announced for a film, there is often a lot of ambiguity over its release date, as seen recently with Pushpa 2, which, despite being a routine entertainer, failed to meet its release date.
Recently, Kalki 2898 AD producer Aswini Dutt made a statement that 40-60% of the shooting for the second part is complete and it will be out within a year.
However, in stark contrast, director Nag Ashwin stated during a Q&A with the media yesterday that he still needs to refine the story and has many ideas in mind, indicating that shooting will take time.
These conflicting statements about the same sequel have caused confusion among the audience. While viewers don’t mind waiting, Prabhas’s commitments, including one with Maruthi and another with Sandeep Reddy Vanga, raise questions about how many years it will take before we see the Kalki sequel, considering Nag Ashwin’s comments.
